UM ANO

Oi família e amigos,

So in 3 days it will have been a year that I have been in my favorite country meeting my favorite people. I am in love with Brasil and I dont know how I lucked out to be where I am right now.

We saw a BUNCH of milagres (miracles)this past week and I know that the spirit really does lead and guide us when we are willing to act on the promptings that we receive!

So yesterday we were determined to find 6 new investigatores to accomplish our weekly goal of 15 new people in our week. So we literally just followedthe sppirit and opened our hearts and talkedto everyone and their dog and we found 8 PEOPLE!!! We were walking down the street when Victoria walks out of herhouse in search for something/someone (aka the gospel and US!) Lol. But we taughther and her brothers and they accepted a return visit! Then we were going to a members house, who ended up not being home. So we talked to the neighbor who happened to be outside named Kelvyn and he always was super interested and told us that we could come back!

But thats not all. So we took a little break to play a good game of checkers. Because they have a checkers board on the tables at the park. Lol, Ilove Brasil. When all of a sudden Mateus and his friend came up to us and sat down and just starting talking/laughing. Na verdade, they just busted up when I told them my name and thatI am american. We invited them to church and who knows some day!? They are 11, but we have high expectations!

I love being able to meet genuinly happy being willing to change and repent and accept the gospel. M. JosephBrough said, "Repentance is not apunishment, it is a privilege" and I know that that is true. I know that I am able to change and become better than who I was yesterday. I know that repentance is essencial to eternal happiness. I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet amazing people and see my weaknesses and how lucky I am to have the gospel in my life.

Fique firme e feliz and read your scriptures and say your prayers.

grande abraço,

Sister Albertoni

Família e amigos,

Everyday I realize how lucky I am to be serving here and doing what I am doing.

We were teaching Jorge and then his neighbor just comes up to us and says that if we ever need any help or água or anything that he likes to help and that we can always go to him whenever we need. And that is why I love Brasilians so much.

Also I got a library card last week so that we could use the computers, and I am pretty sure that that means I am Brazilian now.

Denesie, Cesar, and Emerson came to church again yesterday and they stayed for the whole 3 hours!!! Denesie was determined to stay the whole time and her boyfriend said that he is new to this whole religion thing and that he needs to take it slowly, but they stayed and loved it! I know that going to church every week is so important and that we really do need to renew our convenients weekly. I know that God loves us that He sent His son. Our part is so so small and we just have to choose the right and everything will work out. I love being a missionary and I am so thankful for this opportunity!

Also we were walking down the street and this guy insisted that we take a bag of oranges that he was selling. I love Brasilians.

Have an amazing week and dont forget to read your scriptures and look for opportunities to serve!!

Abraço,
Sister Albertoni

Feliz Dia das Namoradas

So sometimes Brasil has holidays on different days than us, such as Valentines day, which happens to be today! So I love you all and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be serving in ala Guarani!!
Our good friend Irmão José was baptized on Saturday! I cant even ell you how many missionaries have taughten him, but it has finally come to an end! He is the nicest old guy and is always early to church and my heart was so happy as he came out of that water!!
So I have been sick this past week, but that doesnt stop the guys from pulling over their cars to talk to us. Literally more people make contacts with us than we make with them!
ALSO, MARCEL CAME TO CHURCH!!! We have been teaching him for the past 2 months and yesterday he was there front and center and I was so so so happy for him! He is the one who stopped us on a bike forever ago that told us to come and visit him! Ah, it is so cool seeing people change and choose to become better and do the right thing!! I love being a missionary.I hope you all have an amazing week and remember to read your scriptures!!
