Pao e vida

Seja bem vida de Matinhos!
I have never loved a place so much in my life. We live 3 blocks away from the beach and it is so green and pretty and I never want to leave. The people of Matinhos are the most layed back people and I love them all!
I literally walk around with an umbrella because it is so hot. But its great! And then there are fruit trees all over the place with funky fruit that we pick and eat along the way. I love it here so much you guys. And we walk in sand and there are tree houses and it is so great. I cannot express my love for this area!
Sister S. Silva is my companion from Bela Horizante and she goes home in May! AHh. So we are working real hard and have a wedding for Tuesday and a baptism on Saturday!
This week we met Myra, with a beer in her hand, when she yelled out to us and gave us the address of her neighbor that she wants us to teach. She has already been taught by the missionaries and was almost baptized! But we taught her and her neighbor, Gabriel this week and they were awesome! We have literally had a solid 5 people come to us and say that they have already heard about the gospel but that they are willing to let us teach them. It is the weirdest thing and I dont know what it is, but I am definitely not complaining!
I love this gospel and my Heavenly Father. I truly cannot express how excited I am about this area and how sure I am that God has a plan. Entâo, my invitation for you all is to read your scriptures every day for at least 10 minutes. Elder Gary E. Stevensons said, "As you strive to follow the teachings you find in the Book of Mormon, your joy will expand, your understanding will increase, and the answers you seek to the many challenges mortality presents will be opend to you". I know that as we pray with real intent, with the desire to act on the answers we will recieve, we will know the things that we need to do. I know that Heavenly Father loves you and that He is waiting to pour blessings upon you.
Being a missionary is the coolest thing and it is amazing seeing the Lords plan play out little by little, every single day. The church is true and I love you all so much! Have the greatest week!

TRANSFERS

Family and Friends that I love so so much,

I am getting transfered to Paranagua, aka the BEACH. Super nervous about the sun and such, but I could not be more excited!

I have never loved an area so much and I am not sure how I feel about leaving, but I am so stoked to be here doing the Lords work. I have learned what it means to love the peole and I could not have been more blessed. So this week will be a week of photos.

I know that this church is true, without a doubt. I know that the gospel brings more happiness than we could ever imagine. God loves us so much that He sent His only begotten son. I know that sometimes things happen and we arent completely sure why, but it is for our benefit. He loves us and I love you all. Have the greatest week and dont forget to pray!
Kywanie took a selfie and told me to send it to my friends.  She always asked me how to say things in English and I already miss her.

Lou is starting her papers to go on a mission! I met her and Kywanie my first day in Fazenda Rio Grande and they have been my favorites ever since.

 Forever Fazenda Rio Grande.

Irma Dircy is the relief society president and she is constantly helping us with everything! Her husband isnt active and we have been working with him. He even came with us to church yesterday!!

Irma Llda isnt a member, yet, but her son Gelson is! So everytime we got over to her house she makes us cake. One day I told her that chocolate was my favorite and she made it for us every time since. I love them a whole lot.

IGREJA

I got pooped on by a bird. Twice. BUT, 5 of our investigators came to church this week!!! And then 8 less actives, and I could not be more sure that this church is true.

So Karla, our investigator finally decided that wow, the things that we are teaching her are true. The only thing that we have really been worrying about is the fact that Celso lives with her and they arent married. So we set a baptismal date for the 21 and we were super worried and preoccupied and didnt know how things were going to work out. We passed by one day and she told us that Celso had moved out, just like that. Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers and I am SO excited for her!!

We went to this sapatoria, where they fix shoes, about 5ish weeks ago and we met a less active, Michon. He played soccer professionally and is the coolest guy! So naturally we have been wanting to meet with him and teach his family, who arent members. But every time we pass by and try to set up a date he just tells us that he will talk to his family and set a set date and time and is just post poning the blessings that God is waiting to give him! BUT. We were walking to one of our appointments and passed by his house and he was outside with his wife!! So we said hi casually and just kept going on to our next appointment. Later that night we didnt have any where to go and we were depating between Michon and another investigator. For some reason we were both hesitant and went to the other investigators house, even though we knew we needed to meet with MIchon and his family. So we get to the other house and no one is home. Friends, God has a plan and we have to do His will!! We turn back, heading to MIchons house for the 3rd time in one day and this dog, there are literally billions just roaming the roads everyone, starts barking and looks pretty fierce. So naturally I go to the other side of the road and leave my companion to clap at the house. And get this, Michon and his children (Michel and Vitoria) and his wife all come out!! They wouldnt let us in, but we talked to them outside for a solid 15 minutes. Michel and Micon starting talking about football and basketball and starting naming players and I just went with it! You guys, I am certain that this family will be baptized here in no time because they are beyond prepared! Michel was actually being taught by the missionaries a year ago and we went to church for a solid 3 months, but for some reason his parents wouldnt let him get baptized. But thats okay because God has a perfect timing for everything!

I love this Gospel and I am super sorry about all the gramical errors, the spell correct is in portuguese. But I know that God loves us and He loves His children and great things are happening here in Fazenda Rio Grande.

Follow Gods plan for you, because I promise it is greater than anything you could ever imagine. I love you all and am so thankful for all the love and support!

Have the greatest week and dont forget to read your scriptures and say your prayers.

Que Calor

I love Brasil.

I went on a divison with Sister Ferreira, who was my companion for 3 week when I first got here, this past week and miragles happen. I didnt realize how much I have learned these past 6 months until this past week. Dom de linguas, the gift of tounges, is so real and I have no idea how it happens but wow. I am so lucky to be here and I know that Heavenly Father loves us and that He claifys us to do the things that we are called to do.

We have church at 8:30 am which makes it a little difficult for our investiagors BUT, Karla and her niece and her son and her sons friend all came to church yesterday!! We have been teaching her for almost a month and I adore her and her family. My heart was too happy when I saw them walking down the street!! And then we went to pick up Aldaide, our recent convert, and he wasnt home. He didnt answer his phone or anything. So as we were walking to the chapel we saw 2 guys and it was Aldaide! At church! 30 minutes early!!

Elder J. Devn Crnish said, "All the Lord expects of us is to try, but you have to really try!" And if there is anything I have learned this past while is just this. We have to do all that we can, we have to give it all that we have, and then miracles with happen and success will follow. I know that Heavenly Fathers plan isnt always what we have in mind, but that it is what we need. He is truly our father and He wants us to succeed.

My invitation for all of you this week is to "sincerely ask Heavenly Father what He thinks of you. He will love and correct but never discourage us; that is Satan´s trick". I promise you that everything will be okay and that God loves you so so much.

Being a missionary is the best and I could not be more lucky to be here right now. Thank you all for all the love and support, I dont know what I would do without you guys! Have the greatest week and say your prayers.

Abraço,
Sister Albertoni

Feliz Ano Novo

January 2, 2017

FELIZ ANO NOVO FAMILIA E AMIGOS!

I cannot believe that I have already been out for 6 months and that it is 2017. This week was full of milagres, miracles, and I am beyond excited for the year to come!

I was studying about faith this morning and came across a quote by President Uchtdork,
"Faith means that we trust not only in Gods wisdom but that we trust also in His love. It means trusting that God loves us perfectly, that everything He does, - every blessing He gives and every blessing He, for a time, withholds - is for our eternal happiness."

I had a division, where we trade companions, with Sister Councill in my area this week and I was beyond nervous. Since we both have the same time here in the field and I had never been on a divison with an american! BUT, I saw a billion miracles. So we had plans and back up plans and a billion people in the rua to teach. So 6 of our plans caiu, they fell through. And it was beyond hot and I was a little frustrated. But we stopped every single person in the road, and talked to them and got a lot of addresses. And we just kept on going. We went to Carla and Celços house and their children, William and Maria had just gotten into a moto accident the day before. They were so beat up and bruised and had road rash all over. So we taught them about the plan of salvation and they really listened and took it all in! Then we met 7 new people and they are all so awesome and God has a plan for all of us!! You just have to keep going and trying and exercizing your faith!

Elder Henry B. Erying said, "If you are on the right path it will always be uphill". I am so thankful for all of you in my life. You have all had an impact and I could not be more grateful! Have the happiest new year and a great week!

Much love,
Sister Albertoni
