a igreja e verdadeira

Family and friends,

The church of jesus christ is true and I know that God lives and that He loves us all so much more than we could ever imagine. It has been the biggest privilege to represent the Savior during these past 18 months in the greatest country in the whole world.

I know that God has a plan for each and every one of us. I know that when we pray that Heavenly Father really does hear and answer our prayers! I am so thankful for the gospel restored here on earth and for the Book of Mormon! I know that it really is another testament of Jesus Christ.

Life is the greatest thing and I know that everything happens for a reason. I am beyond happy to have served in the greatest place where I was able to meet my best friends.

Brasil will always have a piece of my heart. Love you all times a billion and I am thankful for the part that each of you has played in my life.

We will all be ending out missions the 18th and so we had to have a little get together..
I love my Savior and the opportunity that I have to represent him during the past bit. I know that the church is true and that God loves all so much more than we could ever imagine.

"The realization of your amazing, outstounding, and true potential happens only in the hands of the Lord"

I didnt know that being a missionary was a dream of mine until I got to know the people that I have grown to love so much. Such a happy Sister and I will see you guys on the flip side. Até Natal.

Raining Blessings

Fam,

Sister Silva is the greatest companion that a missionary could ever ask for. So blessed to be able to end my mission with the most energetic/excited Sister ever.

"We should stand as close as humany possible to the Savior and Redeemer of the world - who has absolutely perfect pitch" Elder Holland.

This week we have been singing to members and investigatores and everyone in between. We have been getting into the christmas spirit and it has made all the difference! This week was full of rain and sun and everything in between but honestly the spirit was felt and we were guided to those we are prepared to accept the gospel!

So our good friend 58year old Leonor. We decided to sing a hymn to her because she was kind of drunk and we thought that it would be go. I think that it was angels we have heard on high and then the curtain just starts flying in our faces and Leonor tells us to sit down. So we sit down and start singing the second verse and good ol leonor starts singing super loud and wow, and when we get to gloria, she starts almost yelling GLOOOOORR and I just lost it and started busting out laughing. Then sister silva started laughing and we never ended the hymn. I love that lady and I love music and it was just what we needed.

We have been using a list of members and one night all of our plans had fallen through at 8:15pm and we decided to go to one of the names on the list that I haded met. When we got to the house it was a house that I had passed by algumas vezes and a few weeks ago I had written down the address because I saw the cutest little girl out side listening to what looked like her partents yelling at eachother. Then obviously Heavenly Father knows His children and guided us to put down the same address in our plans for that night. The little girl came out when we clapped there and I asked her about the names that we had found in our list, who she had never heard of and dont live there. But we ended up talking to her mom, Helena, and she offered to let us in!!! And that is how we found this amazing family who have already been to church and wow. I love them.

I know that this is Gods work. He is all powerful and all knowing and I am so glad that I am His daughter!! The work is rolling and we are having the time of our lives!

If there is one thing that I have learned is this,
"Come as you are", a loving Father says to each of us, but He adds, "Dont plan to stay as you are". We smile and remember that God is determined to make us more than we thought we could be". Elder Holland.

I am so thankful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with this opportunity to be stretched more than I thought possible. I know that He lives and that He sent His son. Every day we are given chances to learn and grow and become more than we ever thought possible. My mission really is changing me dailey and I am so blessed to be where I am doing what I am doing. This is the greatest work and I am so thankful for 5 more weeks to meet and love the greatest people in Brasil.

Go out and look for opportunities to serve. I know that God has a plan for each and every one of us. I love you all and I hope that you guys have the greatest week!

grande abraço,

Sister Albertoni

Família,

Wow. I love being a missionary.

So we were going to Amanda, Marie Edwarda, e Elianes house on Tuesday and they werent home. They are literally the greatest family and the first lesson with them the spirit was so strong! So as we were walking I felt the need to go down a different road that we never use. Then who do you know is right in front of us, Amanda and Marie Edwarda!! They had gone to the store and when they had gotten there they had realized that they had forgotten their money so they were on their way back to their house to pick up the money. So then we were able to mark a visit with them and I just love those girls SO much. When we visited them the next day Amanda said that they NEVER use that road and that for some reason that day they used it. Heavenly Father knows us and He is in ever little detail of our lives. I know that the spirit leads and guides us and our investigatores every day. Marie Edwarda was able to go to sacrament yesterday and she felt the spirit so strong and I know that there is great things about to happen with them!

Also I was able to teach english this week for irmão Edimelsons birthday and we sang in english and it makes me so happy seeing people learn and want to progress.

We had a noite familiar with them and our recent convert Valter and irmã Mery brought a friend and Valter and this friend went out yesterday so...(; Milagres estão acontecendo!! Miracles are happening!!

I couldnt be happier and more excited and ready to help the whole world become baptized and come unto Christ.

The book of mormon is true and the spirit leads and guides. I love doing what I am doing and being where I am. There isnt a better feeling than representing the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Have an amazing week and go find ways to increase your faith in our savior! Look for His hands in your day and I promise you will be amazed by how much He loves you!

VALTER GOT BAPTIZED!!! I have been teaching him ever since I got here and there isnt anyone who knows the bible better than this guy. He is the happiest most possitive man and I am so thankful for his huge example in my life. He literally stopped drinking coffee over night because he knows that it faz mau por nossos corpos and I just look up to him a ton.
Also. The elders in our district had a baptizm the same day but the water at their chapel was super dirty so we had a double baptism which means double the spirit! We were able to help dona Jurema get dressed and prepare for her baptism and after she was baptize she just thanked us and told us about how clean she felt.

FAMILY,

I love being a missionary.

We went back to Eliane, Amanda and Marie edwardas house this week and they are such a special family. Eliane told us about how after we had left her house that she cried for a long time and that the day that we had showed up had been ar eally hard day for her. She told us that afterwards she felt so much peace. That her problems didnt go completely away but that things were getting better and that she was happier. Wow. I know that the spirit is real and that it touches the hearts of those we teach. I was so happy for her and I know that God has HUGE plans for this amazing family and I couldnt be more greatful to play a tiny part in this huge work.

We were walking down the street and out of no where I just feel the need to clap at a house. And that is how we met Susan who moved here only a month ago with literally only her family. She has 2 little boys who kept us company and told us a bunch of stories and I love them. She has gone through so much and I know that she is so prepared to take this next big step in her life!

I dont know how I lucked out with this opportunity. Every day I am able to meet someone new and I love them automatically. I didnt know that I had so much love and that there are still so many people for me to meet every single day.

Life is so so good and I could not be more happy with where I am or what I am doing.

God lives, Jesus Christ is His son. God wants us to reach out and take firm hold of the iron rod, confront our fears, and bravely step forward and upward along the strait and narrow path. he wants this for us because He loves us and because this is the way to happiness" I know this is true.

I love you all so so much and hope you guys have the greatest week!!

grande abraço,

feliz

Happy.

Family and friends that I love oh so much. Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of you and He has a plan for you and your life and He is waiting and willing to bless you more than you could ever imagine!!

It rained a ton this week and with lots of rain means lot of miracles!!

So. As we were walking after all of our plans had fallen through I had thought about this cute old lady who we had taughten a few weeks ago that said that she is living in another city but as vezes she stops at her house to see how it is going (because they are remodeling and everything). So we clapped at her gate a few times until this two ladies came out and said that dona Leonor was at her house and that we could clap at her door. So we go up to her door a little unsure about entering, but when she saw us she literally started to cry. I was kind of confused and didnt really know what to do, but she hugged us and told us how thankful she was that we had come. She couldnt believe that we had come to her house and she was just so thankful. She said that she was a little sad and she was just so overwhelmed with joy and happiness that we had thought of her and remembered her. I love dona Leonor and I am thankful that the spirit leads and guides and that this is the Lords work. I know that He loves His children and that He is so aware of each and everyone of us.

Yesterday 7pm we were walking down the road when we decided that we should go to a contact that we had planned. As we were walking to her house I saw this house with the door open and the lights on and I felt this need to clap there. The gate was kind of weird and I wasnt sure where to clap so I was able to clap at the neighbors when I felt this urge to clap at that house that I felt the need to the first time. Before I clapped I said a little prayer for Heavenly Father to prepare the hearts of the people to accept His message. And that is how we met Amanda, Marie Edwarda and Eliane. The accepted us without second thought with the happiest smiling faces and I just loved them right from the start. During our message Eliane, the mom, started getting teary eyed and cried. The spirit is so real and the gospel is true and it changes lives!! I love the people here and I know that God loves them too.

Being a missionary is my favorite thing in the whole wide world and as we trust in the Lord He will strengthen us and guide us along the way.
We had a conference de zona.  Love being a missionary.  So blessed.

FAMILIA

I will be staying in Eucaliptos!! Sister Laurenz from Argentina will be my new companion and I could not be more excited to be able to continue working in the best ward in Curitiba. I know that God loves us and knows us by name. I was able to feel so calm and comforted during this change and I am sure that there are people that will continue to help me change for the better!

Today I slammed by thumb in the door. Lol. but its fine because irmâ Norma was on her way to the hospital to drop off her son, they have hospitals where you can go for free and its really cool, but anywho. When we were getting out of the car at the hospital parking lot sister santos slammed the door and my thumb was in the way. So that is how we ended our transfer. Hahah, but I love her a lot and I will miss her!

This week was full of a turn of events and lots of family home evenings and I love preaching the gospel.

So we were clapping at the houses at night, right before one of our family home evenings when this cute lady came out que se chama Goretch. She has the biggest house and she told us that she wouldnt come to our church. But that doesnt even get to us, and I said that that was fine and that we just wanted to help her faith grow! She is really catholic and has the biggest heart and let us in! She normally isnt home, because she has a pet shop, so obvioulsy Heavenly Father guided us to her! But thats not even the best part. Not even 5 minutes after we had entered Leonardo came in. He is a friend of hers who has been less active in the church for a few years. He is literally the nicest guy and use to go to the other ward that goes to our same chapel! He was super open and will actually be having a baby with his girlfriend in a few months! It is crazy how perfect Gods timing is and how sure I am that He loves His children.

The next day we were at a members house, Lucimara, teaching her non member husband, Antonio at 8pm when the doorbell rings. Guess who it was! Leonardo!! DE NOVO! AGAIN! Funny, né? Ah. I love this gospel and I am thankful for the opportunity to meet those who Heavenly Father is literally preparing to come unto Him!!

Also. Met 32 year old Paolo from Haite who we met clapping at the gate of this church..bom. Its a house but there was a sign in front saying Igreja de Haitee anywho..He is the nicest guy and he started speaking english with me! I dont know how people are so talented and manage to speak various languages. But I learned that my english has a lot of working on and that people really are so great.

AND THEN. We have a recent convert Dy, who started smoking again a few months ago and she has really been struggling with it. She we passed by her house and she had the greatest story to tell. The day before she had received a priesthood blessing to help her stop smoking. The next day when she went to smoke she felt super sick and nauseous as she put the cigar in her mouth! She literally got sick and wasnt able to smoke! WOOO! GOD LOVES HIS CHILDREN! I shouldnt be so excited about her feeling sick, but if that is what needs to happen to help her stop then so be it!

I love you guys and I know that God loves you guys. I couldnt be happier and more ready to work. Falta só tres meses. Ah minha nossa.

Have an amazing week and study the scriptures and talk with your father in heaven.

grande abraço,

Sister Albertoni
Sister Laurenz, de Argentina! I could not be more excited to work with her and learn from her! She is the cutest sister and I am pumped!

English rules

Family and friends.
We were clapping at houses and stopped for a quick minute to snap a pic. Also I am learning how to read maps and follow directions and I am super proud of myself for only getting lost a million times but then being able to find my way. Oh. So we were on the way to lunch when we ran into a member, Natalia, and I was super unsure about how to get to the members house but then Nat told us the way and we made it early!!! So obviously Heavenly Father knows my weaknesses and he hears and answers my prayers and doesnt want me to get too frustrated over little things. I love prayer and nice people and being a missionary.

Being a missionary will forever be my favorite thing. Sister Santos is so awesome and we even eachother out super well! She is so super funny and I already love her.

So. I was able to go to an english class this week and I have never had so much fun or felt so cool in my whole life. I was able to go to 3 different classes and answer questions that they have about the united states and me and being a missionary and everything. The teacher wanted me to speak in english and it was such a huge struggle, so I went back to speaking portuguese without even thinking. I literally prayed to forget english when I got here and it is crazy seeing how far that I have come! THEN. That same day we were looking for a house when we passed by this teenager who smiled SO big at me and I was a little confused because people dont normally do that. As we kept walking Sister Santos said that he was in one of the english classes and I didnt even realize it! So we ran back to him and talked to 13 year old Dalton who was so happy and willing to let us mark another day to talk/teach him and his parents!! Service is key and I know that Heavenly Father is preparing people to accept His gospel!!

We have been trying to find people while we are walking to our appointments and that is how we met the nicest old guy. He told us that we were awesome and that he thinks what we do is so great. He even gave us paçoca and told me that I look like his granddaughter. He wouldnt let us teach him, but I know that we are planting little seeds and one day he will accept the missionaries novamente!

Also we taught Evan and Manu this week and after our lesson I felt like Evan really needed to pray. He has been reading the book of mormon with his girlfriend, Manu who is less active, and he has so many good questions! So we had the girls come in and we all kneeled as Evan prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a profet and if the book of mormon is true. I know that the spirit really does testify of the truth and that super duper soon Evan will become a part of the true gospel of chirst!!!

I love Brasil and being here and doing what I am doing. Confiar mais no Senhor. Rely on the Lord and follow the spirit. I know that the church is true and that it changes lives. Read your scriptures and talk to your father in heaven! Miracles are real and I am thankful for you all!

cars don't run over airplanes

We clapped at loads of houses this week and my testimony really did grow.

So we were teaching about the book of mormon for a less active family yesterday and as I was testifying of the truth I felt such a surety that it really is the word of God. I was studying a ton this week trying to figure out what I need to do to become better and I was able to find answer to my questions. As I was teaching I just felt so happy and peaceful and that is how the spirit testified to me that the book of mormon is the word of God.

I am so thankful to be able to clap at houses and meet new people every single day. Being a missionary is my favorite thing and there is nothing that I would rather be doing.

"God is on our side. He loves us, and when we stumble, He wants us to rise up, try again, and become stronger". Deiter F. Uchtdorf

I believe in you and God does to. Read the Book of Mormon and ponder and pray. I promise you that He will answer your prayers!!

Have an amazing week,

Curitiba e super calor

Família,

I have never clapped at so many houses and been rejected so many times in the same week. BUT. We saw milagres. Miracles. Because literally God loves His children and sometimes I just need to exercise a little more faith and work a little harder to show that I am willing to do the work!

We were clapping a solid 2 hours until we got to the last house of the street and met claudio and maria. They are the cutest couple and welcomed us in with loving arms and my heart just about exploded with gratitude. Plus they hand make slippers and flip flops and are the coolest couple out there.

Then a member, Renan, told us that he had a couple for us to visit. He had actually found this guy drunk in the middle of the road and had helped him home. The next day Renan brought us to this house where we met Isabel and Vinicious. Isabel was so overwhelmed and I just felt super bad for her and all that she is going through. Im not a super huggy person but as she was crying I just felt the need to give her a hug and I have never met anyone so grateful for something so simple. She is such a trooper and acepting us back sem duivida (without doubt).

This week I learned that you have to not give up. Literally nunca never ever. Just have to keep knocking and walking and trying our very best. Plus when we set goals and make plans God will help us every step of the way. I just need to be more patiente and develop more faith and humility and things seem to work out. Great things are about to come about here in ala Eucaliptos and I am excited to be taking part.

I love you all loads and am so thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord.

Bom semana grande abraço,

Eucaliptos, CURITIBA

I got transfered to CURITIBA. My companion, Sister Herreira is from Argentina and has the cutest accent and I am beyond excited to meet new people and have new experiences! This is an amazing area and I know that milagres vão acontecer (miracles will happen).

So I left my beloved ala Guarani and Paranaguá after 6 months and its super cold in my new area BUT, we left on a good note.

The spirit guided us to the most prepared people that I have met!! Literally when we were just about to give up or didnt know what more we could do, the Lord provided a way and we were able to find people who are reading to accept Gods plan for them!

So we called everyone Sunday morning and even went to two investiagatores houses to pick them up for church and no one answered their phone nor their door but I didnt let it get to me. Because we literally have amazing investigatores and we had done our part. So sacrament had started and no one that we had planned on being there showed up..until..DENESIE and her family came walking in and my heart got a lot better. Then a little bit later Patrick and Emily and then...

This family of 5 who out of the blue who we have never even met before walked on in. So there I was playing the piano and in comes these unfamiliar faces and it turns out the dad is less active and he brought the non member kids with and they all loved it! I was able to stay in primary with them and they asked me so many questions and could not believe that I am American. I felt like a celebritiy and I just felt so much love for them right from the start. But later that Sunday we were walking down a road where we normally dont and out comes this little girl running up to me and it turned out to be Emanuelle who had gone to church that day!! So was so excited and brought us home to here family where we met her mom and her brother.

I know that this is the Lords work and that when we do things His way that miracles really do happen. The Lords way and timing really is the only way to go. He knows His children and He is preparing them to return to Him again.

I am one lucky duck to be able to serve in the greatest places. I am super excited about this change and I know that I will continue to meet people who change me for the better.

I love you all and I am super thankful for all of you!

Read your scriptures and say your prayers. Never forget how much your Heavenly Father loves you!

UM ANO

Oi família e amigos,

So in 3 days it will have been a year that I have been in my favorite country meeting my favorite people. I am in love with Brasil and I dont know how I lucked out to be where I am right now.

We saw a BUNCH of milagres (miracles)this past week and I know that the spirit really does lead and guide us when we are willing to act on the promptings that we receive!

So yesterday we were determined to find 6 new investigatores to accomplish our weekly goal of 15 new people in our week. So we literally just followedthe sppirit and opened our hearts and talkedto everyone and their dog and we found 8 PEOPLE!!! We were walking down the street when Victoria walks out of herhouse in search for something/someone (aka the gospel and US!) Lol. But we taughther and her brothers and they accepted a return visit! Then we were going to a members house, who ended up not being home. So we talked to the neighbor who happened to be outside named Kelvyn and he always was super interested and told us that we could come back!

But thats not all. So we took a little break to play a good game of checkers. Because they have a checkers board on the tables at the park. Lol, Ilove Brasil. When all of a sudden Mateus and his friend came up to us and sat down and just starting talking/laughing. Na verdade, they just busted up when I told them my name and thatI am american. We invited them to church and who knows some day!? They are 11, but we have high expectations!

I love being able to meet genuinly happy being willing to change and repent and accept the gospel. M. JosephBrough said, "Repentance is not apunishment, it is a privilege" and I know that that is true. I know that I am able to change and become better than who I was yesterday. I know that repentance is essencial to eternal happiness. I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet amazing people and see my weaknesses and how lucky I am to have the gospel in my life.

Fique firme e feliz and read your scriptures and say your prayers.

grande abraço,

Sister Albertoni

Família e amigos,

Everyday I realize how lucky I am to be serving here and doing what I am doing.

We were teaching Jorge and then his neighbor just comes up to us and says that if we ever need any help or água or anything that he likes to help and that we can always go to him whenever we need. And that is why I love Brasilians so much.

Also I got a library card last week so that we could use the computers, and I am pretty sure that that means I am Brazilian now.

Denesie, Cesar, and Emerson came to church again yesterday and they stayed for the whole 3 hours!!! Denesie was determined to stay the whole time and her boyfriend said that he is new to this whole religion thing and that he needs to take it slowly, but they stayed and loved it! I know that going to church every week is so important and that we really do need to renew our convenients weekly. I know that God loves us that He sent His son. Our part is so so small and we just have to choose the right and everything will work out. I love being a missionary and I am so thankful for this opportunity!

Also we were walking down the street and this guy insisted that we take a bag of oranges that he was selling. I love Brasilians.

Have an amazing week and dont forget to read your scriptures and look for opportunities to serve!!

Abraço,

Feliz Dia das Namoradas

So sometimes Brasil has holidays on different days than us, such as Valentines day, which happens to be today! So I love you all and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be serving in ala Guarani!!
Our good friend Irmão José was baptized on Saturday! I cant even ell you how many missionaries have taughten him, but it has finally come to an end! He is the nicest old guy and is always early to church and my heart was so happy as he came out of that water!!
So I have been sick this past week, but that doesnt stop the guys from pulling over their cars to talk to us. Literally more people make contacts with us than we make with them!
ALSO, MARCEL CAME TO CHURCH!!! We have been teaching him for the past 2 months and yesterday he was there front and center and I was so so so happy for him! He is the one who stopped us on a bike forever ago that told us to come and visit him! Ah, it is so cool seeing people change and choose to become better and do the right thing!! I love being a missionary.I hope you all have an amazing week and remember to read your scriptures!!

20 Anos e 11 meses

Famiy and friends that I love more than words can say,

"God always blesses us many times more than the measureof what we give"
Lawurence E. Corbridge

Thank you all so so much for all of the birthday wishes! It was definitely  the best birthday I could have asked for in my favoirte Brasil. My camera has a virus, but its okay, so just imagine me with lots of cake and balloons and my favorite people. They had a surprise birthday party for me with hot dogs and cake and everything! I dont know how I got so blessed to be serving in Brasil, especially in Paranaguá. I am the luckiest duck and I really felt so so much love.

I ate this funky sea animal thing called bacoco and I am not sure what it is, but I am trying new foods which is huge progress! And then Pastor Pedro told me that he would merry me. He bought us a Guaraná and was telling us about his church and how age is just a number. Strange. But we invited him to church and whoknow, some day!?

Also we were teaching a lesson right by the sea and when we were leaving the water was up to the gate and we had to step in the sea for half a second to get by!

I cant imagine my life without Brasil and the people that I have met. Honestly Heavenly Father knows us personally and loves us all so much. I am so thankful for you guys and I know that miracles are about to take place.

Have the greatest week ever!

Sister ALbertoni

Rain. 4ever.

May 22, 2017

It rained all week this week which was super fun! Na verdade na verdade. Oh and I will be staying in Paranaguá for the next 6 weeks!! WOO!

So this week I learned about how God really does hear and answer our prayers. Even for small things. Like when I lose my CTR ring for the 100th time. Or when Sister de Jesus loses her planner! So when Sister de Jesus lost her planner I recommended that we say a player, because I lose everything and I always pray and end up finding the thing! She was a little skeptical because it was such a small thing, but literally two minutes after our prayer we went to a bench we had been siting and then she decided to knock on the neighbors door and they had broughten the planner inside! Literally even the small things have significance. When something matters to us, it really does matter to our Heavenly Father.

Sacramental. So I am playing the piano and in comes this tall guy with long blanck hair, tattoos all over, and a lip piercing with normal clothes and wow. The second I saw this guy I thought of a story where a guy changes his whole life around little by little and I have a good feeling about our friend Saul! He stayed for all of the meetings and liked it and participated and we got his number and will be visiting him this week!

Then as I was praying during sacrament about our investigatores who werent at church I thought about Osmar and when I opened my eyes there he was!! It never ceases to amaze me how real pray is and how much God really does love me and His children! I really just have to play my small part and miracles happen, all the time!!

PLUS, I was able to see my best friend Mariane from Matinhos! There was a relief society actividade in our church and she was there with her parents and my heart was so so so so happy. It is amazing seeing the difference that this people have made in my life and how much I have grown to love Brasil. I have been blessed with my favorite people and I am so thankful that Heavenly Father knows me well enough to give me the people that I need in my life.

I love being a missionary more than I love pastels. I love you all and I am super excited to spend the first 6 months of my 20 years in Brasil!!

Abraço,

Family,

First week that I actually took sweet pictures and get this, my camera has a virus and wont let me upload my pictures! But just imagine me with lots of dogs and people and pretty Brasil.

But Happy Late Mothers Day! I love mothers, they are my favorite kind of people. And this week I met this amazing mom to two young boys who got in an accident 8 months ago. So now she cant move her legs, back, or hands and is thehappiest person that I have ever met. Her name is Janiena and I met her during a division in Jardim America. She literally didnt stop smiling for a second and was so greatful for theopportunity to be alive. I really just felt so much peace and joy being around her! It made me realize that I have to be more grateful foreverything that I have. I really am so so blessed to be meeting people who make me want to be better every single day.

We have been focusing on Meryellie this past week, who is 11 and has a baptismal date for the 20!! She is the cutest girl and goes to activities and church all by herself. She is so super blond and has glasses and I love her. There is no way for me to not be happy when I am around her! I am one blessed cookie.

Then yesterday we took a little stop infront of the padaria (Bakery) to write a note when our good friend Egor came up to us! Na verdade (actually) I have just smiled and waved and said hi to him a billion times because we always pass by the bakery. That is something that I would never do, talk/ wave/ smile at everyone BUT, thats what needs to be done! Anywho, he starting talking to us and asking questions and we didnt mark a day to visit him, yet, but I am planning on buying bread this week and BAM, marcamos batismo e wooo! Lol. So then we will mark a day to visit him and teach him! He is so awesome and people are literally coming to us.

I love being a missionary. I am sureI have said that a million times, but there is nothing I would rather be doing.

baptismo da fe

MILAGRES. I know that God lives and that He is preparing His children to accept His gospel. I dont have a shadow of a doubt that this is His work and His glory to bring to pass the eternal life of men.

Edigar came to church last week and I have never met him before. But he gave us his phone number and address wanting to learn more. We called him all week and could not find his house for the life of us. Finally thursday night he called us back and told us that he wanted to be baptized!?!? I have never had anyone come to me telling me that they wanted to be baptized, but there is a first thing for everything and miracles happen dailey. So he was interviewed Saturday at 4pm and then baptized at 8. He was already taught in Curitiba and just had to be baptized mesmo. We even had 5 investigators at the baptism and they all loved it!

Hellen and Maryellie told us afterward the baptism that they want to be baptized and my heart about exploded. They even walked to church by themselves yesterday and they are the cutest moças in the whole world!! Ala Guarani is literally on fire and I dont know how I got so blessed to be serving here at this time.

Heavenly Father loves us more than we could ever imagine. Being a missionary is the greatest blessing I have ever receieved! I hope you all have an amazing week and search for the Lords hand in your life. I promise that you will see how blessed you really are.

milagres em ala Guarani

Família e amigos,

I love you all so so much and I know that God lives and loves His children. I have never seen so many miracles in one week before! Sister De Jesus is my new companion, from Rio Grande do Sul with 5 months on the mission! She is so funny and I already love her! This week we were really guided to people who are prepared to receive his gospel! !

So we were walking around trying to find a house and this guy on a bike passes by us and I say "Oi!" normal. But then he passes by again. and then again for the third time this same guy on a bike is definitely running into us on purpose! But the 4th time he stops us and asked us what he had do to for us to visit him!? He asked if we were missionaries dos Mormons and we got his number and address and batismo!!! I have never had someone stop us and ask to be visited, but I am not complaining!

Then another man passed us by on his motorcycle and two minutes later he turned around and pulled over to talk to us. He said that he wanted to tell us that God has a plan for us. Unfortunately he wouldnt give us his address, but who knows maybe another time!

Mas, we knocked again at a door that was at the same road as a house that we were looking for, but couldnt find. And Nisi opened the door and let us in without even hearing what our purpose is como missionaries! So we entered and she told me that she has already seen me before. Which isnt completely out of the blue, since we walk around all day every day. But then she started saying how there were two tall, handsome guys in suits walking behind me and another girl. So I started to doubt it because I have never walked around her with elders. She then described my old companion, Sister Ferreira, tall with black curly hair and I just felt like it was real. Nisi really did see us with two tall, handsome guys in suits. So obviously God sends his angels to watch over and protect us. I dont remeber when it happened or where we were but Heavenly Father really does watch over us!

We had 8 pesquisadores at church yesterday, 8!!! I was playing the piano at the front and 10 minutes into the meeting people just start walking in and my heart about exploded out of my chest. I have never been so happy! I wanted to scream and cry and hug everyone as they entered! You guys, I know that this church is true. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a missionary and serve in the best country in the world.

Have an amazing week and know that I pray for you guys every day!

HAPPY LATE EASTER (Feliz Pascoa!!!)

HAPPY LATE EASTER (Feliz Páscoa!!),

I know that the Savior lives, and that He loves us. I know that we are able to change and become better every single day. I am awfully grateful for the knowledge that I can repent and be cleansed of my sins.

Sister Ferreira foi embora. My companion finished her mission and went home to Sao Paulo!! So that means novo companiera, new companion Sister De Jesus! I am super excited for the opportunity to learn new things and continue working in the Guarani Ward!

We were teaching a less active, Edna, yesterday and we shared the video of Pascoa (easter). She started to cry during the video and then as we were talking about Christ and really feeling the spirit, a cat just walks on in and get this. It had a mouse in its mouth!! Yikes. It wasnt even her cat! But the church is true and I love being a missionary.

Much love,
Sister Albertoni

encontrando filhos de Deus

Family and Friends,

It has taken us a solid 5 weeks to finally figure out where we should be working. BUT, the search has ended and we are working more in these Becos (alleys/ dead end streets) and we have be finding people like never before. I am realizing how blessed I am and how fortunate I have been my whole life. A lot of people dont have a whole lot, but they are the nicest people I have met and I just want them to have even more happiness through the gospel!

This week we met mom Kelly and daughter Jennifer, and get this. They are both pregnant!! With only a month difference. Its like those movies where the mom and daughter and pregnant at the same time, except its real. Lol. We taught them once this past week and we marked to come back tomorrow! They are so awesome and accepting and I am super excited about them.

Then we went on to the next Beco where we met Rafael, who has read the entire Book of Mormon!?! He met with the missionaries over 15 years ago and remembered about the lamanites and Alma and I was literally in shock, quase jumping with glee over the fact that we have found our golden investigator. BUT, he said that he knows alot about the church and almost accept us. BUT. He told us that we could call him and set up an appointment and I know that good things are about to come.

It is so funny because whenever people have already met with the missionaries they almost always remember their names and it makes me happy. I know that people are being prepared to accept the gospel. I love my savior and the opportunity to share the gospel with the amazing people of Brasil. There is nothing that I would rather be doing!

I hope you all have an amazing week and remember to read your scriptures and say your prayers. I know that God hears and answers us and wants us to have eternal joy.

A grande abraço,
Sister Albertoni

Conferencia Geral

Eu sei que Deus nós ama.

I know that God loves us. I am so thankful for the opportunity to learn and listen from our prophet and his apostles and the leaders of our church. I know that they are chosen men and women of God! I love general conference so so much and I could not be more blessed to be where I am serving right now.

This week we went on splits with a couple of young women in our ward. So I went off with Cora and I didnt even get lost in the area!! We went to Norllda and Estellas house and taught them the Plan of Salvation. Cora has never gone out with the missionaries so it was a different experience for the both of us. But as I began teaching I just got so happy and filled with joy. As we were talking about the atonement I really felt in my heart that it is real and true. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He is waiting for us to give Him our burdens. He will help us become strong and take our load with us. Norllda and Estella were so happy too and were talking about their love for our Savior and I was overwhelmed with joy. This gospel is so so good and I know that it is true.

Cristiano, our good friend that we have been teaching from the start, cut us. It was definitely a hard ending, but I know that one day he will accept the gospel again and that he will run into the baptismal font! I am learning how to accept the agency of others. Its probably the hardest thing, especially because I want what is best. But I think that is how God feels with us! He gave us this amazing gift and He must feel so sad when we dont choose what is right. He wants to bless us and help us on our way back to Him.

I am thankful for the opportunity to learn more every day. To apprender mais sobre meu Salvador. I know that God lives and that Jesus Christ is HIs son. I would invite you guys to go and study the talks from General Conference! You will receive answers and feel overwhelmed with peace and happiness. Make plans and set goals and do what the Lord would have you do!

I love this gospel and I love you all. I hope you guys have the greatest week and get to know Jesus Christ a little better along the way.

Abraço,
Sister Albertoni
Guilereme, Filipe, and Fernando! Fernando didn't let anyone sit next to me but him.  And then when I went to sit on the other side he asked me why I wasn't sitting my him.  He is 3 years old and my best friend.  He had me dish up his food and help him with his shoes and everything!  I felt right at home.

And Celma took us to their house in between conference and made us chocolate cake.  And then after conference they fed us dinner.  I am too lucky/blessed and soo soo happy.  Celma and Irmao are the greatest couple and they are so funny,  Irmao Kazu brought up a youtube video of where I live and I got a little trunky.  They really go out of their way to help us and make sure that we know how loved we are.

9 meses

Zone Paranagua

Sister Councill arrived with me at the CTM and we have been the two loiras ever since.

HALF WAY WHAT

9 meses em Brasil.

I cannot believe that I am already half way done with my mission and I dont know what to think or do or ahh. I love Brasil a whole lot and I really cannot get over how lucky and blessed I am to be here.

President Russell M. Nelson said, "If we look to the world and follow its formulas for happiness, we will never know joy...Joy is the gift that comes from intentionally trying to live a righteous life, as taught by Jesus Christ."

I have never learned so much as I have these past 9 months, thousands of miles away from home. I know that true joy only comes from our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that God loves his children more than we could ever imagine. So here is to 9 more months learning and growing and becoming the missionary that Heavenly Father needs me to be.
9 things I love the most about my mission:

9. The people. They hug and kiss checks and are the friendless, most loving, people I have ever met.
8. The food. Rice and beans and bread and goodness.
7. The language. I love Portuguese and being able to talk and understand!
6. The missionaries. I am able to work with the greatest people who are amazing examples to me!
5. The wards. Brazilians are the greatest people and there testimonies are so strong and they are willing to share what they know.
4. The weather. I have definitely had to get use to it, but I love the rain and sun and humidity.
3. My 4 areas. I have been able to learn something new from each area and I know that I will be able to learn even more!
2. The culture. I am pretty sure I was met to be brazilian.
1. Being able to learn more about the gospel every single day.

I am so lucky to be doing what I am doing. I love you all and I hope you guys have the greatest week ever!

sempre chuvendo

Família,

Eu amo muito vocês, sabia?!

It rained a whole whole lot this week. Every day. And not a whole lot of people opened their doors, BUT. Yesterday, after all of this rain we met our golden family. Grandma Estrella with her 4 grandkids! They have already met with the missionaries and they are super open to learning more! So sometimes you just have to keep clapping and walking and doing what you are asked to do.

Cristiano came with us to church again yesterday and he is the happiest camper I have ever met. He is always singing and being funny and helping me learn more about the gospel every time we teach him. Its been two weeks since we started teaching him and he has a baptismal date for the 1 of Abril (April)!! It makes it all worth it when you find people who accept the gospel and are wanting to learn more.

Elder W. Mark Bassett said, "Faith and trust in the Lord require us to acknowledge that HIs wisdom is superior to our own. We must also acknowledge that His plan provides the greatest potential for spiritual development and learning". I am positive that being here has been the haredest, yet most rewarding thing, I have ever ever done. I am so grateful for my loving father in Heaven. He hears and answers our prayers and I know that HIs timing is perfect.

Plus my good friend Isadora was baptized this past week!! Dont forget to read your scriptures and say your prayers and be grateful for all that you have!

Thankful for you all,

Abraço,
Sister Albertoni

Guarani

I love Paranaguá.

So I lived with Sister Ferreira for 3 months in Fazenda Rio Grande and now we are companions for her last transfer in Guarani! We are basically the same person and I have never laughed so hard before. I am so excited to be able to work and serve with her for the next 5 weeks! Heavenly Father really does hear and answer our prayers and He loves us more than we could ever imagine.

This week I met 32 year old Cristiano who is a big guy that we marked a baptismal date for dia 1 de April! He is so funny and is always smiling and happy and I have never met anyone so prepared and willing to accept the gospel. He always asks questions and really has a desire to learn and understand what we are teaching. We ot to his house 8:30am yesterday to walk with him to church and he was sleeping..but his roommate answered the door and 5 minutes later he walked out shirtless singing and asking if we could wait for him to take a shower. Normally people would just say that they werent going to come, but not Cristiano! We even got to church 9am spot on! He is literally golden and I am so excited to be here in this area!

Get this..so normally my hair is pulled up because of how hot it is here. But thye other day as we were finishing a lesson I let my hair down and this 45 year old man (that we were teaching) told me that "Agora você é uma mulher de Deus" (Now you are a woman of God) and I dont think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. So now Sister Ferreira always wants me to have my hair down. Lol.

I love this gospel and I know that this church is true. I know that the atonement is real and that we were not sent to this earth to suffer. I have never loved people so fast as I have here. Literally it feels like I am meeting my greatest friends and I cant think of anything better. Great things are about to come and the Guarani ward is about to grow!

I love you all and I am so thankful for the examples you all are to me.

Abraço, Sister Albertoni

They are so great and I don't know how I lucked out with the best areas ever.

We went to the temple a couple weeks ago and little did I know that I was meeting people in the ward that I would be serving in!  So now I am serving the the aula (ward) Guarani and these nice young men are in my ward!!!

Sister Ferreira and I did a division for a solid week when I got to Fazenda and we have been the best of friends ever since.

We sleep on the floor in the main room because of how hot it is in our bed room.  It's like a sleepover every night!

TRANSFERS

Family and friends that I love more than words,
I am being transfered to Guarani and my companion is SISTER FERREIRA!!
I lived with Sister Ferreira for two transfers in my last area and we are almost the same person. This is her last transfer and then she is going home. So I get to be her last companion! We got a call at 10:30 last night telling us to pack my bags and nothing more. Than this morning at 6:30 they told me about where and who and yay!

Matinhos has been the greatest area and I know for a fact that God loves His children. I have learned how to love people who are completely different than me, and to look for similiarities in everyone. I have learned how to be happy, you know? Genuinely happy with where I am and who I am with and with Gods plan. I love these people more than words can say and I cannot believe that my time here was so so short. But I know that there are even more people for me to meet and love and wow. I am so blessed.
Isadora will be baptized next week, because this week she went to the hospital and had to get surgery. But she is fine and running and being her happy self! Joâo, an investigator made me a picture frame and I dont think I have ever been so happy. And then Yasmin was able to be confirmed yesterday and her less active grandma went too!
Miracles are everywhere, and there are so many blessing to receive. I love Matinhos and I love being a missionary. I am so excited for this next little adventure and the opportunity I have to be doing what I am doing.
I love you all and am so thankful for your support and love! I hope you guys have the greatest week. Dont forget to study the scriptures and talk to your father in Heaven.
A grande abraço,
Sister Albertoni

sempre Mantinhos

HAPPY CARNIVAL!! Aka where people just drink a lot and go to the beach for 4 days because vacation. I havent seen any crazy dancers or floats or anything that the movie Rio made me think that Carnival was..apartently thats more of a think in Rio.

Oh I gave a talk yesterday in Sacrament meeting for 10 minutes in Portuguese. Check that off of my bucket list.

But Jane got baptized Saturday!!! She is the greatest person and I know that baptism is so essential to eternal life.

We were clapped at houses a lot this week and a half deaf guy came up to us and starting signing! But get this, sign language is different in different countries, but its okay because I learned a ton in my one year of ASL that I was able to understand and comunicate with him! The poor guy was sleeping when we clapped at his house so he told us to come back another day. It was super cool though and I felt way good about my decision to take that year of ASL. lol.

We ride the bus a ton here, and so I am able to meet amazing people almost every time. So I was siting down when this old guy starts talking to me about the church and it turns out he was baptized! He lived in Utah for a few years and then London and then he just kind of stopped going to church. But he was talking to me in english and it was the coolest thing. People are so nice here and they are willing to talk and bond and I love that about Brasil. He even told me that he would come to church this next week!

I have realized that it is key to be nice and happy. People love happy people and its the smallest things that count. Literally I will smile or say hi to people in the street and then a week later we end up clapping at these peoples houses and they tell us how we smiled or waved at them earlier. So just be a nice person and things will work out for your benefit. I promise.

Yesterday Madeline, the sister of a recent convert, came to church and we were super stoked about this NTM (family where not all of them are members). So Sister Silva was trying to mark a day to visit her while I was playing the piano but it just didnt work out. So we went to Barbaras house last night to teach her and see how she is doing ( the recent convert) and 10 minutes later her sister Madeline walks in!!! She has already been taught by the missionaries but she is so willing to listen and accepted another visit at her house and I am so so happy.

I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers. He really does have a plan for each and everyone of His children. We just have to ask in order to receive.

I dont know how I got so lucky to be serving in the greatest city in Brasil. I love you all and I love Matinhos. Have the greatest week and look for opportunities to serve!!

A grande abraço,
Sister Albertoni

BATISMO E TEMPLO

Family and friends holy wow,
We went to the temple this week and Yasmin was baptized. Blessed. Yasmin is the granddaughter of a member and it was been a little rollercoaster with this 10 year old. She was already taught by the missionaries almost a year ago and she was going to get baptized and everything, but the last minute it just didnt happen. So we have been teaching her and trying to prepare her and then she would break our hearts and say that she wasnt ready. But the next visit she would be exited and say that she wanted to get baptized. Mais, all in all it worked out and she made the right decision! It makes my heart happy as people realize how great and happy the gospel is.
With that people said, a cute old lady sung us hymns that she wrote. She let us in without us even having to ask and then she told us about her church and how she writes hymns. And then out of the blue she starts singing and I dont think I have ever smiled that much before in my life. I love Portuguese and little old ladies who sing for us.

"Its hard to have a negative attitude about things if and when your life is focused on the Prince of Peace" M. Russell Ballard.
I love this gospel more than you guys could ever understand. Being a  missionary is the most rewarding thing I have ever done and I dont know how I got so blessed to be serving here and now. God loves His children and He is preparing so many people to accept His gospel. We just have to be willing and eager to do our part and share the happiness that we have.
We were able to go to the Curitiba temple this week and I was just so so happy to enter into the Lords home. I know that God is our Father and that He send His son. The gospel is so golden, I know that it is the truth and the way to eternal happiness.
I love you all and I hope you read your scriptures and talk to your father in heaven today.
Abraço,
Sister Albertoni
