So I just realized as I was practicing
palavras that Friends is more applicable then I thought. This episode
where Pheobe is trying to teach Joey french, and he cannot pronounce it
right is the same as me and sister Karren! It is so relatable at this
point. We can say words in parts, but putting it together we say
completely different things. hahah.
We had a
member of the 70 come and it was such a good experience. I was able to
play the hymns to the best of my abilities, even though my hands were
shaking and I was beyond nervous! So shout out to momma C for making me
stick with piano lessons. Singing also went super well! We practiced a
couple times in front of everyone, and thankfully the last time was the
best time. I was able to feel so much joy and graditude and relief that I
stepped outside of my comfort zone. It was such a humbling, yet
confidence building, experience. President Growl asked me to play hymns
while the member of the 70 was shaking everyones hands. Which was the
humbling part, because I am far from familiar with the various Brazilian
hymns. You know what the crazy part is? I got asked to play humns for
the devotional the next day! We sure do have a loving and trusting
Heavenly Father. He wants us to have the best experiences and
opportunities, and He provides a way when we do our part.
I
practically broke an elders face during volleyball the other dia. I was
returning a serve and the ball smacked him face on. Hes Brazilian so I
just kept saying desculpe, poor guy. I must have been getting too
confident in my volleyball skills (,: He~s fine though! No black eye or
anything!
We got new Brazilian roommates, and
one of them is serving in Curitiba Sul! holla! They both speak english
and are super nice, so I could not be more grateful.
During Sunday
devotional a sister quoted Lion King, "Look inside of you, you are more
than what you have become. " We all have so much potential and Heaven
ly Father is just waiting for us to realize that! We can change, we can
do better, we can grow and progresse every day.
I
have learned that Heavenly Father wans nothing more than to bless us. I
have seen His hand in every experience I have had here at the CTM. He
will guide us when we put our trust in Him.
I
was sitting at a table by myself, waiting for my companbion, during
breakfast and a c ouple of elders and sisters sat by me and acted as if
we were the best of friends. People are so friendly and willing to reach
out. the Brazilians are also super patient with me and my portuguese,
which is a HUGE blessing.
I could not be more
thankful for your prayers and emails and letters! I am constantly seeing
the Lords hands and I am muito animada to share this evangelho com
pessas em Curitiba Sul!
Much love,
Sister Albertoni
